Ken Locke - Pastor

Rev. Ken Locke is a native of Arkansas, though he has also lived in Georgia, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, Texas, Indiana and Hong Kong.  He is a graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary (MDiv) and has Bachelor and Master degrees in English.

Ken was ordained in 1997 and spent his first five years in ministry preaching in the cornfields of Indiana before moving to Music City in October of 2002 Before becoming a minister, Ken spent some time in the Army, working for an air freight company and as a director of campus ministries for a church in Virginia.  He says those experiences were good for him but he’s glad he finally found something he really enjoys doing.

In his spare time, Ken likes running and murder mysteries, hanging out at the library, and listening to classic Pink Floyd.  He’s accepted the fact that his hair is now more gray than brown, that he has more hair on his face than on his head, and that he will probably never again weigh what he weighed when he got married.

Ken’s professional interests are preaching, the theology of stewardship, moderating session meetings (it’s true, he enjoys it) and seeking new ways to spread the Gospel.

He is married to the ever-lovely Elizabeth and has a basset hound named Jane.
